Health and Safety

Accommodation

Our accommodation partners are selected by us for their high standards, and the hotels we use are generally small and often family-run. We liaise closely with them to ensure they follow government recommended health, safety and cleanliness procedures. We insist that all accommodation partners provide us with up-to-date authorised certification for all inspected elements of their business.

Food Preparation

Our alfresco picnic lunches are an integral part of our tours. All Tour Managers complete food safety training and follow strict protocols during the preparation of food. We eat in a variety of restaurants on the tours, with whom we have excellent and long-standing relationships. We often dine alfresco or use private dining areas.

Transport

In general, our travel distances are less than one hour, typically around thirty minutes. Hygiene protocols are upheld for our vehicles, with regular thorough cleaning and hand sanitiser use before every embarkation. It is your choice whether to wear a mask in the GHC minibus’, but this is not insisted upon. Sanitisation of high-contact areas is carried out overnight.

Staff

Our Tour Managers are up-to-date with all safety protocols and have been trained to comply with our policies and procedures.

Terms and Conditions

We continue to revise our T&Cs to reflect the new challenges of travel. The full document will be sent on booking.

Holiday with Confidence

The nature of our tours gives us confidence that we can travel safely and continue to offer guests an enjoyable and authentic experience. Our small groups have a maximum of 16 guests; we spend the majority of our time in the fresh open air, and usually we are in relatively remote areas with few other tourists. Our off-the-beaten-track routes take us to less populated museums and attractions, and we visit areas outside the peak tourist seasons.
